Meet Scott Rodgers, Realtor and Visionary of the Rodgers Real Estate Group
Realtor Scott Rodgers was born and raised in the Peoria, IL area and graduated from Limestone High School. He attended college at Waubonsee Community College for two years and received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1996. Scott graduated with a major in Physical Education and minors in Driver's Education and Health.
Scott taught at Bartonville Grade School for one year and then taught and coached at Brimfield Junior High and High School for the next four years. While at Brimfield, Scott was the head varsity baseball coach. He enjoyed teaching and making an impact on his students and athletes lives. Scott and his wife Cindy make their home in North Peoria and have one daughter.
Scott began selling real estate in June 2001 and quickly found success. In his first full year as an agent, he sold 47 homes, compared to a national and local average of 8. He was named Rookie of the Year for the Peoria Area Association of Realtors.
The Building of Rodgers Real Estate Group
From day one, Scott’s goal was to provide an excellent real estate experience to each client he served. As the business grew, Scott was putting in 16-hour days trying to perform every task involved in the real estate transaction. He was no longer able to singlehandedly provide the type of service he knew his clients deserved. It was time to build a team of experts.
Scott knew from the start it wasn’t enough to simply staff the office with warm bodies. To provide his clients with an exceptional experience, he needed to build a team of experts, each doing one thing and doing it better than anyone else around. He started with an assistant, thinking that filling that position was the most pressing need. His assistant took on all the non-money-making tasks, freeing Scott up to sell homes. Business continued to build.
Before long, it was time to add one buyer’s agent, and then another, until Rodgers Real Estate Group consisted of three buyer’s agents, one listing agent, a photographer, and a licensed closing coordinator.
Scott’s Role On the Team – Visionary and Team Leader
As the team grew, members all had their own particular role. Scott relishes his role as the visionary and team leader. He is responsible for business strategy, systems development, systems management, lead generation, marketing, and training agents and staff. Scott credits the growth and success of Rodgers Real Estate Group to creating systems, where each task is broken down into repeatable systems, ensuring every client has the same high-quality experience with their real estate transaction.
